sane2twain 0.90

This is the first beta release of sane2twain, an open source twain dsm that will enable programs like PMView and Maul Publisher to acquire images from your scanner.

Download: sane2twain090.zip

This version can:-
# Preview images.
# Select an area.
# Zoom in and out (and scroll about).
# Set a number of options, depending on the scanner.
# Display progress indicators.
# Scan.

It uses libsane from Paul Smedley, see http://www.smedley.info/sane.html
You should try and get tame V1.04b to work before attempting to use sane2twain.

New ACPI 2.20 drivers on eComStation betazone

ACPI (short for "Advanced Configuration and Power Interface") is a standard that defines power and configuration management interfaces between an operating system and Hardware. It is meant to supersede

Samba 3.0.25rc2 released for OS/2 & eCS

I've uploaded a build of Samba Server 3.0.25rc2 to Netlabs. Currently it's in ftp://ftp.netlabs.org/incoming/samba-3.0.25rc2-os2-20070423.zip but it will eventually move to
ftp://ftp.netlabs.org/pub/samba/samba-3.0.25rc2-os2-20070423.zip

M.A.M.E. SDL Release

KO Myung-Hun has released the SDL version of M.A.M.E. 0.114u2 for OS/2. M.A.M.E., also known as Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator. It is capable of running many Arcade games. You need arcade machine ROMs to run with it. Google is friend. :-)

Be sure to use the -multithreading option. READ the SDLMAME.os2 file in the archive!

New fast VESA video driver for eComStation

eCo Software and Mensys BV have reached an agreement to create a generic VESA driver for eComStation.

This driver is called "Panorama VESA", and supports all VESA 2.0 compatible video adapters, which then can be used with the eComStation operating system. Until now some modern chipsets were not properly supported by the
Scitech SNAP driver that is included with eComStation.
